The Books of Ezekiel and Daniel are the last two books of the major prophets. Ezekiel as a young man went to Babylonia and served among the exiles after the fall of Jerusalem. He is known for his amazing vision of God.

Hosea: filled with some of the most powerful truths in the Bible. Joel: predicted the outpouring of the spirit of God - fulfilled several centuries later on the Day of Pentecost. Amos: noted for its fiery denunciation of the northern kingdom of Israel. Obadiah: pronounces God's judgment against the Edomites, ancient enemies of Israel. Jonah: emphasizes God's love for all people -pagans and Gentiles as well as his Chosen People, the Israelites. Micah: known for condemnation of the rich. Nahum: foretells the destruction of the nation of Assyria. Habakkuk: both a poet and a prophet. Zephaniah: emphasizes the certainty of God's judg-ment . Haggai: written to encourage the people of Israel Zechariah: portrays the coming glory of the Messiah. Malachi: written to rebuke the people of Israel
