Brash and unpredictable New Orleans policeman, Skinny is taking a Sunday stroll along the banks of the Mississippi with his girlfriend when an explosion shatters the calm. Horrified, they see the small form of a boy on the deck of a now burning boat. Diving into the cold water to rescue him, Skinny has no idea just how much this terrified and angry child will change his life.
