For twelve years, a terminally ill Elias endures his father's painful tests in search for a cure.
On the edge of death, when all hope is lost, he is visited by a strange creature.
Just as his fascination with the creature gets the best of him, he is suddenly kidnapped.
With little time left Elias joins his captors on a quest for a plant that might cure him.
