Finn's Fate, set in the tenth-century, tells the story of Finn and his two brothers, Torsten and Gunnar. After a disastrous fire ruins their homestead, they set out on a dangerous journey south towards the Land of the Danes in search of adventure and a better life, a path that takes them into the realm of King Erik of Sweden, slavery and an apparent loss of all hope.A dramatic escape leads Finn and his brothers into the service of King Harald of Denmark, where they embark on one of the longships leaving for the annual summer raids on Britannia. The events that follow bring this saga to a dramatic conclusion, and at the same time throw light on the modern mystery of an actual mass grave in the Dorset countryside.
