SO SAYS THE HEART is the debut poetry collection by Kess Costales, a queer Filipino-Canadian author. It is split into two parts of poetry and prose: loss & love. The first portion looks at how the heart can feel broken in regards to romantic love, painful relationships with family and friends, and periods of depression. The second focuses on feelings of love of all kinds, especially romantic notions of falling or being in love.
