Lisa Lopes, better known as "Left Eye," was an American singer, rapper, and songwriter. She was born on May 27, 1971, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Lopes rose to prominence as a member of the groundbreaking R&B and hip-hop group TLC. TLC, consisting of Lisa Lopes, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, became one of the most successful girl groups of all time.

Lisa Lopes contributed to TLC's immense success through her unique rapping skills, creative songwriting, and distinctive style. With her fiery personality and captivating performances, she became known for her colorful fashion choices, including her signature left eye "glasses" or eye patch. Lisa's fearless attitude and outspoken nature set her apart and made her a beloved figure in the music industry.

Throughout her career, Lisa Lopes achieved numerous accolades, including four Grammy Awards and selling over 65 million records worldwide. She co-wrote many of TLC's hit songs, such as "Waterfalls," "No Scrubs," and "Creep," which became anthems of the 1990s.
