Ntando Mahlangu was born with a condition that prevented his legs from developing. At age 10, both legs were amputated. Ntando did not grieve for long. Instead he worked with an organization that outfitted him with prosthetics called running blades. Ntando took off and has not looked back. At age 16, he earned a silver medal at the Paralympic Games. The athlete has also overcome bullying. These experiences have forged Ntando into a strong teenager. In this book, readers will examine his life story and learn more about the Paralympics through narrative text, engaging photos, and graphics. They will come away inspired to get moving and be Teen Strong.
