Lately, Ratoncito is very scared. He feels frightened all the time and is afraid of everything. Mamá Ratona is very worried. In summer, although the sun shines bright in the sky and the weather it is very hot, Ratoncito does not swim in the lake because the water and the bugs swimming around in it scare him. Por las noches, Ratoncito no consigue conciliar el sueño, paralizado por el miedo a que un monstruo aparezca y se lo lleve. En verano, aunque el sol brille en el cielo y haga muchísimo calor, Ratoncito no se baña en el lago porque le asustan el agua y los insectos que en ella nadan. Sin embargo, Mamá Ratona siempre está a su lado, proporcionándole la comprensión y seguridad necesarias para vencer todos sus miedos.
