Freelance journalist, Kenzie Phillips, is on to a story, she can feel it. Her suspicions are confirmed after her latest podcast season digs into the strange happenings in Moonlight Cove ten years ago and a federal agent comes sniffing around. 
Dane Rogers, doesn't work for the FBI, in fact, most of the government doesn't know his department exists. After a freelance journalist and part-time podcaster starts getting too close to the truth about the Genesis Foundation, he steps in. 
Kenzie's problems multiply when a pale, shell-shocked teen shows up on her doorstep looking for sanctuary. He calls himself Ethan-Ten, and claims that he used to be perfect. 
With the Genesis Foundation and the federal government both on her tail, Kenzie doesn't know who to trust, but there's something about Ethan that seems more familiar than she wants to admit, and if she doesn't find a way to protect him, Genesis will destroy him for being flawed...
