The book is about a baby named Tiffany, who at her christening is given a gift of a beautiful smile, which makes everyone happy. Three animals—a wolf, a fox, and a bear—decide to steal the smile. At night, they snatch Tiffany from her cradle and bring her to their house hidden deep in the forest. No matter how they try to make Tiffany smile, she would not smile to them. She gives her beautiful smile to her parents when they come to rescue her from the house where the three animals were hiding her because they really love her.
