The 2015 Edition of the Model Rules of Professional Conduct will provide you with an up-to-date resource for information on lawyer ethics. The Rules, with some variations, have been adopted in 50 jurisdictions. Federal, state, and local courts in all jurisdictions look to the Rules for guidance in resolving lawyer malpractice cases, disciplinary actions, disqualification issues, sanctions questions, and much mor.

In this volume, the black-letter Rules of Professional Conduct are followed by numbered Comments that explain each Rule's purpose and provide suggestions for its practical application. The Rules will help you identify proper conduct in a variety of given situations, review those instances where discretionary action is possible, and define the nature of the relationship between you and your clients, your colleagues, and the courts. Convenient tables provide cross-references to corollary provisions of the former ABA Model Code of Professional Responsibility.

In addition, the new edition includes the most recent ethics opinions issued by the ABA Standing Committee on Ethics and Professional Responsibility, and an appendix containing a list of amendments to the Rules by date and by Rule.
