高文秀, 元大都( 今北京) 人。东平府学生员。曾官山阴县尹, 早卒。一生共作杂剧三十四种, 数量上仅次于关汉卿, 时人称为小汉卿, 其中有八种水浒黑旋风李逵故事。现全存者仅《双献功》、《谇范雎》、《渑池会》等五种, 风格雄浑爽朗。
